The Impossible

If your like me you have those times when out of the blue something comes from way out of sight and blindsides me and knocks me completely off track. I am faced with an insurmountable circumstance that has stopped me right in my tracks. I can't seem to move, I can't seem to speak, I can't seem to find the right words to pray. How is it that individuals have peace in the midst of their most tragic moments and difficulties in life. I am reminded of the women with the issue of blood that was healed by Jesus. In Luke's Gospel account he wrote (Luke 8:43-48) Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.

And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ” But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” Now here was a women who was desperate and spent all the money she had and no physician could find a solution. She made the courageous bold step and made a prayer of declaration that if she could just touch the hem of Jesus garment that she would indeed be healed. and she was healed immediately. Jesus was so impressed with her faith that told her to be of good cheer her faith had made her well and go in peace.

When we through caution to the wind and not let anything hold us back and not rely on ourselves and self-righteousness but on God's righteousness we are then allowing Jesus to work. It is when we rest that Jesus works. However, when we work Jesus rests because we are operating by our own works and not according to Grace. In Romans 8:1 the Apostle Paul wrote " There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Therefore, the answer is to walk and live according to Holy Spirit and not the flesh or works (Law). Trusting in Jesus assists us to get through every obstacle in life with peace that only God gives through Holy Spirits power.
